Lisa Kutscher is an accomplished clinical research leader with more than 19 years of specialized experience in drug development. She’s a co-founder and Managing Member of Cool Flame Bio. From an operational perspective she currently serves as VP of Clinical Operations. In this role, she will oversee the full lifecycle of the company’s clinical programs, coordinating complex U.S. and international trials that span multiple sites and hundreds of patients.

Throughout her career, Lisa has built a reputation for operational excellence in clinical trial design, regulatory coordination, and cross-functional leadership. Before joining Cool Flame Bio, she worked with Allegro Ophthalmics, where she contributed to major ophthalmic research initiatives. At ISTA Pharmaceuticals and Vitreoretinal Technologies, she was instrumental in advancing innovative therapeutic candidates through early- and late stage development. Her work has supported clinical programs across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, reflecting her global perspective and deep understanding of the clinical research landscape.

Known for her attention to detail, integrity, and collaborative approach, Lisa continues to play a pivotal role in bringing forward new therapeutic options for patients with vision threatening diseases. Her contributions reflect a sustained dedication to improving clinical outcomes and advancing the future of ophthalmic medicine.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine, where she developed the scientific foundation that would shape her career in clinical research.
