CASE STUDY IN CIPN HUMAN SUBJECT WITH PANCREATIC CANCER
Stage 1B Pancreatic Cancer
FOLFOXIRI Chemo Regimen—5-FU, folinic acid, irinotecan, and (60%) oxaliplatin
7 cycles of FOLFOXIRI (14 weeks) prior to CFB-001 gel treatment, 5 cycles of chemo with CFB-001 topical treatment
Severe 9/10 CIPN symptoms for 7 cycles (~14 weeks) despite gabapentin treatment
Severe shooting pain, tingling, numbness in hands and feet. Unable to sleep at night. Wearing gloves
at all times. Very difficult to function.
Large reduction in CIPN symptoms with CFB-001 0.5% 2x/day at ~ Cycle 7. Improvement in symptoms through Cycle 9 allowed treating oncologist to increase Oxaliplatin dose.
Increased Oxaliplatin dose caused breakthrough CIPN symptoms by Cycle 10. CFB-001 gel increased to 1.0% gel/ 4x day to again control symptoms to completion.
CASE STUDY IN CIPN HUMAN SUBJECT WITH COLON CANCER
Stage 3C Colon Cancer currently in remission for more than six years
Treated with Oxaliplatin based regimen in the past
Patient has been in remission since late 2019
Patient describes persistent long-term numbness in feet he grades as 5 out of 10 for the past six years. Very difficult to exercise.
Has not responded to multiple prescription and OTC therapies over the years.
Reduction in CIPN symptoms with CFB-001 0.5% 3x/day from 5/10 to 3/10 but improvement only lasts 1-2 hours.
CFB-001 gel increased to 2.0% gel/ 3x day. Patient notes continued improvement from 5/10 to 2/10 in numbness of the feet, but improvement lasts 3-4 hours.
CASE STUDY IN CIPN HUMAN SUBJECT WITH RECURRENT OVARIAN CANCER
Recurrent Ovarian Cancer with residual CIPN after initial diagnosis and treatment
Treated with Cisplatin based regimen in the recent past
Residual 5 out of 10 CIPN with pain, pins and needles in the hands and feet since initial diagnosis and treatment.
New recurrence of Ovarian Cancer recently with Cisplatin treatment has dramatically aggravated CIPN symptoms. Now 8 out of 10 with pain, pins and needles in the hands and feet. Patient unable to sleep.
Has not responded to multiple prescription and OTC therapies over the years.
Reduction in CIPN symptoms with CFB-001 0.5% 3x/day from 8/10 to 2/10 that has stayed under control for several months.
